01 Drug Peddler arrested in Budgam; contraband substance recovered

Budgam: 16th June 2023 continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police arrested 01 Drug Peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

During naka checking at Yarikhah near Kralpathri crossing, Police party from Police station Khansahib intercepted one suspicious person who after noticing the police party tried to flee from the spot, however, he was overpowered tactfully and apprehended on spot. He was later identified as Ghulam Hassan Sheikh @ Hassan Lali S/O Abdul Gani Sheikh R/O Yarikhah Khansahib . Upon his personal search, 50 grams of Charas like substance and Bhang Patri 1.8 Kgs was recovered from him.

Case FIR No. 70/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Khansahib and investigation taken up.
