SSP Anantnag reviews security arrangements for yatra, tourist safety in Pahalgam
Amid heightened security preparedness for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure (IPS) on Tuesday visited Pahalgam to conduct an on-ground assessment of the yatra route and safety measures for tourists.
During the visit, the senior superintendent of police inspected key points along the route, held interactions with duty officers, and stressed the need for seamless movement and secure facilities for pilgrims and visitors. He issued directives to strengthen inter-agency coordination, enhance surveillance, and maintain a people-friendly approach in regulating tourist flow.
“Ensuring the safety, security, and convenience of pilgrims and tourists remains our top priority,” the SSP said, reiterating the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to working in close tandem with the civil administration and other stakeholders.
Officials said the objective is to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment in Pahalgam, enabling visitors to experience the region’s natural beauty and spiritual significance without any inconvenience.(KNS)
