J&K police arrests 02 drug peddlers in Pulwama; contraband substance recovered
Continuing its sustained crackdown on drug trafficking, J&K Police apprehended two drug peddlers during patrolling in the Puchal area and recovered a total of 33.5 grams of charas-like substance from their possession.During patrolling near Dairy Farm, Puchal, a police party of Police Station Pulwama apprehended the two persons and conducted their personal search. The accused were identified as Anees Ul Islam son of Fayaz Ahmad Rather resident of Lajoora, from whose possession 13.5 grams of charas-like substance was recovered, and Margoob Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Puchal, from whose possession 20 grams of charas-like substance was recovered. In this connection, FIR No. 190/2026 under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and further investigation has been taken up. The recovered contraband has been seized as per prescribed legal procedure.Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance approach against drug trafficking and will continue sustained action against those involved in the illegal narcotics trade.
