60 Liaison Officers appointed for GCC Summit in Jammu
Officers from various departments tasked with assisting visiting dignitaries during Oct 9–10 summit at IIM Jammu
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed 60 officers as Liaison Officers for visiting dignitaries in connection with the Global Capability Centers (GCC) Summit scheduled to be held at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu on October 9 and 10, 2026.The appointments have been made through Government Order No. 1595-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated October 2, 2026, issued with reference to the Labour and Employment Department’s O.M. No. LE/65/2026-11-L&E (7786720), dated September 30, 2026.
The appointed officers have been drawn from various departments and institutions, including Estates, Culture, Industries and Commerce, Power Development, Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Finance, Tribal Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, Excise, Employment, Handicrafts, Cooperative Societies, Election Department, Sports Council, GST and other government establishments.
Among the officers appointed are Anil Kumar, Assistant Director, Estates, Jammu; Amit Singh Manhas, Under Secretary, Culture Department; Joni Kumar, Functional Manager, DIC Kathua; Waqar Talib, Under Secretary, Power Development Department; Dr Neha Sharma, Administrative Officer, Government Medical College Jammu; Punika Pandita, CDPO (Headquarters) in the Mission Director, ICDS; Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, CDPO Dansal; Bhawani Atri, Deputy Registrar (Agriculture), Cooperative Societies Jammu; and Prateek Panjathia, ETO, Excise Range Samba.
The list also includes Rupali Mahajan, Assistant Director, Handicrafts Jammu; Sonika Parihar, Assistant Director (Administration), Directorate of Social Welfare Jammu; Rohit Kashyap, Administrative Officer, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society; Virender Kumar, Nodal Officer in the office of CEO, Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY; Sandeep Kumar, BDO Mandal Phallian; Mohd. Arshad, Under Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department; Trikansh Bhushan, Under Secretary, Finance Department; Inzar Ahmad Rana, Under Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department; Akshar Kotwal, CDPO Jammu; and Tanvi Gupta, STO, Circle O, Jammu.

The officers represent a wide range of field and administrative positions, including Block Development Officers, Child Development Project Officers, Excise and Sales Tax Officers, Functional Managers, Under Secretaries, Assistant Directors, Administrative Officers and other officials posted across Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Reasi and adjoining areas.
The Government Order further directs all the designated Liaison Officers to report to the Labour and Employment Department at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, on October 6, 2026, for a briefing on their duties and responsibilities during the GCC Summit.The appointment of the Liaison Officers is aimed at ensuring coordinated arrangements and facilitating visiting dignitaries during the two-day summit, which is being hosted at IIM Jammu.
