Work on Balidan Stambh to be completed within Days: SMC Commissioner

Dr. Owais said that they are reviewing the different projects underway and assessing the progress. The speed at which work should be done is being monitored closely.

“Currently, at Balidand Stump, the work is proceeding at a very good pace. Our labor force is extra and work continues until late at night”, he added.

He said that work on the other projects, including the Dal Gate-Gujwara Road and Karan Nagar Road will also be inspected and they hope to complete the current work within the next 15 to 20 days, and the remaining work will take about 1 to 1.5 months.

As far as macadamization goes, 80% of our work is completed. The overall work is more than 95% finished, with only a little macadamization left, he said.

Owais said that the completion of complex tasks such as drainage, sewerage, and conduit work has been done. “Now, only the finishing touches and footpath work remain. We expect this to be completed in the next 15 to 20 days,” he concluded.
