Vehicles Seized in Kunzar for Plying Without Valid Documents: Baramulla Police

Baramulla: In a major enforcement drive to strengthen road safety and ensure strict compliance with traffic regulations, Baramulla Police on Wednesday seized 13 vehicles for operating without valid documents and mandatory No Objection Certificates (NOCs).

Officials said that a special checking drive was conducted by Police Station Kunzar, targeting vehicles bearing registration numbers of different states found plying illegally on district roads. During the operation, 13 vehicles were seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act for violations of traffic norms and lack of proper documentation.

The seized vehicles include JK05D-8557, GJ12BT-8649 (Tavera), GJ18AX-7887 (Tavera), MH04GD-9212, RJ14TB-8191 (Tavera), GJ31T-7574, DL7CP-6425 (i-10), GJ18AX-0484 (Tavera), PB03AP-6428, GJ12BT-3702, JK05A-1424 (Maruti), UK07TD-7138 and GJ6AU-7631.

Baramulla Police have advised all vehicle owners and drivers to ensure that their vehicles carry valid documents, including necessary NOCs, and strictly adhere to traffic norms. The police further warned that similar drives will continue in future to ensure safe and orderly traffic movement across the district.

Authorities also urged the public to cooperate with enforcement agencies in maintaining road discipline and public safety.
