Unidentified militant killed in Rajouri encounter, Search ops on: Police
Jammu, Sept 13 : An unidentified militant has been killed in a gunfight that broke out between militants and security forces in
Gambir Mughlan area of Rajouri district, while search operation was still going on, Police said on Monday.
As per a statement, a spokesperson said that a joint search operation was launched by the Indian Army and Police in Gambir Mughlan area of Rajouri on September 11.
“During the search, hiding militants opened fire on the search party, which was retaliated effectively. In the course of which one unidentified militant was neutralized,” the statement reads.
It reads that one AK-47 with two magazines and thirty-two rounds and one grenade was also recovered.
“In this regard, a case FIR No. 141/2021 U/S 307/120-B IPC, 13 ULA, 7/27 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Manjakote and investigation initiated. Search operation is still going on,” it reads.
