Two JeM militants have been killed in Sopore, while one civilian has been injured: ADGP Kashmir
Srinagar, Aug 31 : Two militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad were killed and a civilian was injured in a gunfight in Bomai area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Wednesday evening.
In response to information about the presence of militants, a joint team of police and the 22RR conducted a cordon and search operation in Bomai.
When the joint team approached the suspected spot, militants hiding there opened fire on them, resulting in a gunfight.
According to a tweet posted by ADGP Vijay Kumar, two militants were killed who were affiliated with JeM. “Identification is being ascertained,” he said, adding, “01 civilian also received injury during the encounter & he has been shifted to Srinagar hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.”
