Sweets and snacks manufacturing unit sealed by FSA department Anantnag

A manufacturing unit at Laizbal KP Road, area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, was sealed by the Anantnag Food and Safety Department on Saturday.

According to the sources the manufacturing unit is owned by Nayeem Ahmad Halwai and the unit manufactures snacks and sweets .

According to officials the unit was processing sweets in unhygienic conditions and the said unit was found without registration.

“The unit was manufacturing different snacks in unhygienic conditions,” officials said. A team of Food Safety Officers, headed by District Food Safety officer, Zameer Ahmad inspected various food business operators in Anantnag town.
