School Van Driver Dies in Lal Chowk Accident; Two Injured, Students Safe

Srinagar, Apr 2: A tragic road accident near Lal Chowk’s Ghanta Ghar on Thursday claimed the life of a school van driver, while two others sustained injuries, officials reported.
The driver, identified as Javeed Ahmad (47) from Umair Abad, Bemina, lost control of the vehicle near SSI Bank. He was critically injured and rushed to SMHS Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officials confirmed that all schoolchildren onboard the van were unharmed. Two other individuals received minor injuries and are currently under treatment, with their condition stated to be stable.
Police have registered a case, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
