Sarpanch shot dead by suspected militants in Pattan village
Pattan, Apr 15 : Suspected militants on Friday evening shot dead a Sarpanch in Goshbugh area of Pattan in Baramulla district.
Official sources said that the Sarpanch identified as Manzoor Ahmed Bangroo son of Late Mohmmad Sadiq was fired upon by suspected militants at Goshbugh area.
They said that soon after the incident he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, an official said that further details regarding the incident are being ascertained. (KNS)
