One militant killed, operation continues,house blasted

A militant has been killed in an ongoing operation in the Reban area of north Kashmir’s Sopore on Sunday.

A senior Police officer told a local news agency, that one militant body has been recovered amid searches. However, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, the house in which militants were hiding has been blasted by using IED.

Earlier, according to the reports, a joint team of Police, Army’s 22 RR, and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Reban.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter
