Official injured after timber smugglers attack forest department team in Shopian

Shopian: A Team of Forest  Officials was attacked by Timber smugglers in  South Kashmir’s Shopian Village during the intervening night of Thursday.

A forest officer said that the team of forest officials was attacked by Timber Smuggler’s at Tharian area of Keller Shopian last night.

“ A forest department team  headed by Mohammed Abdullah Bhat intercepted the smugglers carrying timber on horses near Thairen kandi village last night.

When official team stopped them, they attacked the official’s with sharp weapons in which  an officer was seriously injured who  was later shifted to Pulwama hospital, where from he was referred to SMHS.Meanwhile,Police has filed a Case in the Incident.
