The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached the house of incarcerated Asiya Andrabi, who heads the separatist group Dukhtaran-e-Millat, in Soura area of Srinagar. According to the NIA order, the said house cannot be transferred, sold or otherwise dealt in any manner with prior permission. The house has been attached under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The order approved by the DGP, J&K Dilbagh Singh was posted at the entrance of the house located at 90 ft in Soura Srinagar.

The order issued by Vikas Katheria, chief investigating officer, NIA, said the property was attached after approval granted by the DGP, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the order, the investigation agency has a reason to believe that the property represents proceeds of “militancy”, and her house was used by the Dukhtaran-e-Millat for “furtherance of militant activities”.
