SPO, his associate who had decamped with two rifles in Kupwara, surrender: Police
Srinagar, Dec 15 : The special police officer (SPO) who along with his associate had decamped with two rifles from the residence of a local BJP leader in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district has surrendered before the police.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the SPO namely Saqib Tantry along with his associate namely Arif Mir—both residents of Bohipora village of Kupwara today surrendered before the police.
Notably, Saqib, who was deployed at the residence of local BJP leader in Kupwara, along with his associate Arif had decamped with two rifles during the intervening night of December 12 and 13.
Meanwhile, when contacted Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar confirmed that the duo has surrendered.
