Missing Kangan youth traced in Handwara in north Kashmir

Shafat Yousuf Malik (25) son of Muhammad Yousuf Malik of Thune Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district ,who had gone missing from April 28 ,was traced by police in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Earlier,Malik’s family had appealed their son through social media to return and had also urged people to help trace him.

Sources said that Shafat was traced from Handwara late Thursday evening and was in the custody of the police.

A police officer confirmed that Shafat has been found and is in police custody.

The family had filed a missing report with police station Kangan in April 30.
