Militants hurl grenade near NC leaders residence in south Kashmir’s Tral ,one injured
Militants hurled a grenade on Tuesday near the venue of a National Conference election meeting in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral town. Militants flung the grenade near the residence of local party leader Muhammad Ashraf Bhat when the meeting was going on.
Police version
The incident did not cause any damage ,according to the police.
“The grenade exploded without causing any damage. The area has been surrounded to search for the attacker,” a police officer said.
However,the eyewitnesses told Arising state correspondent that one person was injured in the blast at Uptown area of Tral in South Kashmir on Tuesday.They said that the blast occurred outside the residence of NC leader Mohd Ashraf Bhat, on the roadside, where a parliamentary candidate of Anantnag constituency, Hasnain Masoodi, was addressing a public rally.
Meanwhile, hospital authorities confirmed the splinter injury to one of the locals, who was reportedly “traveling on the road at that time.”
The injured was identified as Ali Mohd, son of Abdul Rehman, who was later discharged from the hospital after he was treated.
