Srinagar, Feb 09 : The former chief minister and People’s Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday accused the senior civil and police officers of violating the mandate of people in Jammu and Kashmir.

Taking to Twitter, Mehbooba Mufti said that she was not surprised about the recent results of the DDC chairperson election as two months were given to buy and intimidate DDC members.

“So much for Vajpayee ji’s vision of Insaniyat, Kashmiriyat & Jamhuriyat. Not surprised at all by the recent DDC Chairmanship results. Two months were given to buy & intimidate the DDC members,” she Tweeted.

In another Tweet, she said that it was disgusting that senior officers in admin and police have taken it upon themselves to violate the mandate of people.

“Disgusting that senior officers in admin and police have taken it upon themselves to violate the mandate of people. By scrapping Article 370, BJP had already murdered Insaniyat & Kashmiriyat. Now by manipulating DDC results, they’ve put the final nail in the coffin of Jamhuriyat,” she Tweeted.

Officials have also been directed to ensure that their registered mobile numbers linked with Sandes remain active, valid and accessible for receiving authentication messages. Any discrepancy, authentication failure or technical issue is required to be reported immediately through the official email IDs issued by the department. The circular further stated that the respective Maker/Checker users will be held solely accountable for any transaction or activity carried out using their credentials.The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority under reference number FD-BDGTODBT/1/2025-PMU-FD (7651222), and copies have been forwarded to all Administrative Secretaries for information and necessary compliance.
