Lohia Served Country With Great Honour And Dedication: LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, Oct 04: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that J&K Director General of Police (Prisons) Hemant Kumar Lohia was an outstanding Police officer and a great human being.

“Lohia served the country with great honour and dedication. “Shocked and deeply grieved at his sad demise. My condolences to the bereaved family and friends, In a tweet, while expressing his grief, Jammu and Kashmir L-G Manoj Sinha said.

Notably, Hemant Lohia was found dead at his house in Jammu’s Udeywala with his throat slit late Monday night. The incident took place at around 11.45 pm. A native of Assam, the 57-year-old cop was recently promoted and appointed as the DG Prisons in August.
