J&K Govt promotes four officers of JMC

Ankush Kapoor promoted as Chief Informatics Officer; Raman Kumar Gupta, Parveen Gupta and Shabab Raza Rizvi elevated to higher posts

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has accorded sanction to the promotion of four officers/officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to higher posts and pay levels.The promotions have been ordered by the Housing and Urban Development Department on the recommendations of the UT Level Departmental Promotion Committee of the Jammu Municipal Corporation, which held its meeting on July 31, 2026.

According to Government Order No. 187-JK(HUD) of 2026, dated September 3, 2026, the promotions have been made against the respective posts and pay levels from the dates specified in the order.Ankush Kapoor, Chief Informatics Officer, has been promoted to Level-10A of the pay matrix, carrying a pay scale of Rs 56,600–1,79,800, with effect from July 31, 2026.

Raman Kumar Gupta, Building Officer, has been promoted to Level-8 of the pay matrix, carrying a pay scale of Rs 47,600–1,51,100, with effect from September 17, 2026.Parveen Gupta, Revenue Officer, has also been promoted to Level-8 of the pay matrix, carrying a pay scale of Rs 47,600–1,51,100, with effect from July 31, 2026.

Shabab Raza Rizvi, Assistant Engineer (Civil), has been promoted to Level-8A of the pay matrix, carrying a pay scale of Rs 50,700–1,60,600, with effect from July 31, 2026.The Government order stated that the promotions were sanctioned as recommended by the UT Level Departmental Promotion Committee of the Jammu Municipal Corporation.The order was issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, on September 3, 2026.
