Internet suspended amid voting in north Kashmir

Srinagar: Authorities have suspended internet services  in north Kashmir where polling for the first phase is underway. Reports said that the internet was snapped last late night and there has been no formal statement about the rationale in snapping the internet. North Kashmir districts constitute Baramulla Lok Sahba seat where 13,08,541 electors including 6,74,417 males, 6,34,083 females and 41 belonging to the third gender are entitled to vote and seal fate of nine candidates are in fray. The Baramulla parliamentary constituency is spread over 15 assembly segments of Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora districts.
