Infiltration bid foiled in Tanghdar, 1 militant killed

Kupwara, October 26: Army on Wednesday claimed to have killed a militant who was trying to sneak into this part of Kashmir in north Kashmir’s Tanghdar sector.

“On October 26, a face-off between Army and militants took place in Sadpura area of Tanghdar Kupwara in which one militant was killed”, an Army official told KNS.

“Police and 3/8 GR of Army are on job. Operation is in progress however due to bad weather conditions in the area the combing operation may take some time.”, he added.
