General elections 2019 phase 7
The seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha election 2019 is being held on Sunday in 59 constituencies including in Varanasi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking to retain the seat.
Over 10 crore people will decide the fate of 918 candidates across seven States and one Union Territory. Polling will be held in all 13 seats in Punjab and an equal number of seats in Uttar Pradesh, nine in West Bengal, eight seats each in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, four in Himachal Pradesh, three in Jharkhand and the lone seat Chandigarh .
Repolling will be held in in seven booths in Kerala’s Kannur and Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituencies today following the Election Commission’s finding that bogus voting took place in the booths on April 23.
Among the prominent candidates are PM Modi and Ravi Shankar Prasad of the BJP, and Shatrughan Sinha and Manish Tewari of the Congress.
