GDC Sogam Organizes Multilingual Mushaira

Kupwara: One-Day Mehfil-e-Mushaira (Poetry Recitation in Kashmiri, Urdu, English, and Pahari languages) was organized by GDC Sogam (Lolab), Kupwara on 4th December 2021.

The Mushaira was organized by Cultural Committee, Debates & Seminar Committee (D&SC), in collaboration with Department of Kashmiri and IQAC of the College with the major objective to provide a platform for the students who possess the talent of poetry and creative writings in different languages.

Prof. M. Shafi Lone (Principal, GDC Sogam) was the patron of the event and the Convener and Coordinator of the Mushaira was Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar (AP, Kashmiri; Convener, College Cultural Committee) and Dr Tauseef Ahmad Parray (AP, Islamic Studies; Convener, D&SC), respectively. Prof. Javid Hasan (AP, Urdu) moderated the event and proposed the vote of thanks.

In this Mushaira, over a dozen students recited their poems in Kashmiri, Urdu, English, and in Pahari languages. Many staff members and 100s of students were present in the audience.
