Former MLC TS Wazir from Jammu found dead in Delhi

Jammu, Sep 09 : Senior national conference leader and former MLC Tarlochan Singh Wazir from Jammu was on Thursday found dead in Delhi, official sources said here.

Official sources said that T S Wazir had recently gone to Delhi and was found dead this morning there. “However, his body has not yet reached his ancestral home for which arrangements are being made.”

Reports say that Wazir was murdered but this has not been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, a senior NC leader from Jammu confirmed  that Wazir has died in Delhi and said that arrangements are being made to bring his body back.

“Wazir had also recently taken part in a meeting which was held in Jammu by NC,” he said.

He also said that the deceased was an experienced and popular leader, while he was respected by leaders across party lines owing to his nature.

“His contribution to Jammu’s development and social awakening cannot be forgotten”, he added.

Wazir was also president of J&K Transporters Welfare Forum (TWF).

Meanwhile, Former Chief Minister of J&K and NC vice-president, Omar Abdullah on his Twitter handle said: “Shocked by the terrible news of the sudden death of my colleague Sardar T. S. Wazir, Ex member of the Legislative Council. It was only a few days ago that we sat together in Jammu not realising it was the last time, I would be meeting him. May his soul rest in peace.
