Encounter Breaks Out In Srinagar’s Khanyar

Srinagar : An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Srinagar’s Khanyar area in central Kashmir on Saturday morning, according to officials.

A senior police official stated that a search operation was initiated in the area following intelligence inputs suggesting the presence of militants.

“As forces neared the suspected location, the militants opened fire, sparking an encounter,” the official reported.

He added that the exchange of fire is ongoing and further updates will be provided accordingly.
