DySP Sheikh Aadil Reinstated After LG Orders Closure of Proceedings
Srinagar, Aug 12: Deputy Superintendent of Police Sheikh Aadil has been reinstated after the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir ordered the closure of departmental proceedings against him, official sources said on Tuesday.
The decision came following an investigation under the Prevention of Corruption Act, which found “no substance” in the allegations. The case was closed as “not proved,” and the Hon’ble Court also dismissed the charge sheet for related offences under the Indian Penal Code.
According to sources, the Inquiry Commission, after a “detailed and impartial examination,” fully exonerated Sheikh Aadil. An independent assessment by the Intelligence Wing also issued a clean chit.
“In light of these findings, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has closed the departmental proceedings as ‘not proved’ and ordered his immediate reinstatement,” sources confirmed.
