Drug peddler arrested in Budgam; contraband substance recovered

Budgam, 25th Aug-2 :Continuing its efforts to rein in the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police have arrested drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

During naka checking at Razvi stop, police party of PS Magam intercepted one person in suspicious condition,when police party signalled him to stop he tried to flee from the spot but police party apprehended him tactfully. During search, apparently 10 Grams of Heroin like substance were recovered from his possession. The identified drug peddlers has been identified as:- Habil Yaseen Dar S/O Mohd Yaseen Dar R/O Tarhama Kunzer Baramulla

Case FIR number 128/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Magam & investigation taken up.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
