Unidentified Body Found Near Nallah in Anantnag

An unidentified dead body was found near a nallah at the backside of Government Medical College (GMC) Janglat Mandi in Anantnag on Sunday as per sources.

Locals noticed the body lying near the water channel and immediately informed the authorities. Soon after, a police team reached the spot and took the body into custody.

The deceased has not been identified so far. The body was shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities, while police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
