CRPF 110 BN organises plantation drive in Pampore
Pampore, 7 April: 110 Battalion CRPF Lethpora organized a Plantation drive at Galender village of Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on World Environment Day on Thursday.
The plantation drive was inaugurated by Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 BN, in presence of, second in commandant, Dy Commandant and other officers by planting a Mulberry plant.
Nearly 400 saplings including mulberry, chestnut, pine and coniferous large number were planted in the galender area, alongside NH 44 and along the banks of River Jhelum in Galender area, apart from the campus of 110 BN CRPF Lethpora.
Talking to media persons, Yogesh Purohit narrated that it is the aim of CRPF to make the surroundings clean, green and healthy, whereever it is deployed by organizing such plantation drives from time to time.
He also narrated the benefits of plantation and appealed to all to plant maximum trees for creating a green, clean and healthy environment and making a happier future.
