CM Omar to Visit Fire-Stricken Marwah in Kishtwar for Relief Assessment

Kishtwar, October 17 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is set to visit Marwah in Kishtwar district, where a devastating fire on Monday destroyed over 70 homes, leaving many families homeless.

The Chief Minister, expressing deep concern over the tragedy, will meet with affected families and review relief efforts on the second day after taking the oath of office.

An official stated that Abdullah’s visit aims to assess the situation and ensure timely relief is provided. He is expected to instruct officials to accelerate rehabilitation efforts, including the provision of food, shelter, and essential supplies.

Before the visit, Abdullah shared his commitment to supporting the victims, saying, “I will visit Marwah to meet those whose lives have been shattered by this fire.”
