Budgam Police observed ‘Thana Diwas’ at Townhall Khanshab, PS Chadoora, PS Beerwah & PS Khag

Budgam, 25th Aug-22:As a part of Public outreach programme, Budgam Police today organized ‘Thana Diwas’ at Townhall Khanshab, Police Station Chadoora, Police Station Beerwah & Police Station Khag.

At Townhall Khanshab the event was organized by Police Station Khanshab which was chaired by SDPO Khanshab Shri Ghulam Mohidin Malik-JKPS alongwith SHO Khanshab Inspr. Peer Atiqullah Incharge Chowki officer Waterihail Insp.Ruzaid Yaseen. The event was also attended by DDC Khanshab Shri Bashir Ahmed Bhat Besides imams, moulvis,Trade fraternity representatives, transport union members, Numberdars, Chowkidars and other respectable citizens of Khanshab and other adjoining villages of Khanshab attended the event.

During the event, issues of public interest were discussed among which the issues like Drug menace, rising social evils and public services delivery received comparatively larger attention.During the event, all the grievances were heard and were segregated on the basis of area of action and jurisdiction.The attendees were assured that all the grievances pertaining to Police department will be dealt as per the law of the land and remaining grievances lying outside the domain of Police department will be taken up with the concerned departments under laid down procedure. During the event, the cooperation of general public in eradication of Drug abuse, social crimes etc. was sought. The event recieved a lot of appreciation from DDC Khanshab and attendees and it was said that these events play an instrumental role in bridging the vacuum between Police and General Public and transforming police force into responsible, transparent, accountable and sensitive to public demands.

Similarly, “Thana Diwas” was also observed at Police Station Chadoora which was Chaired by S. I Farooq Ahmed The event was attended by Numberdars, Chowkidars, Auqaf committee members and other respectable citizens of different areas of Chadoora.
During the interaction, participants were stressed upon to co-operate with Budgam Police in curbing the drug menace and in identifying anti national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.The participants appreciated the role of police for conducting such interaction meetings and assured their full support & cooperation in curbing the menace of social evils of the society.

At Police Station Khag “Thana Diwas” event was observed which was Chaired by SHO PS Khag Insp. Muneer Ahmed and other officers.The event was attended by respectable citizens of different areas of Khag,Traders federation & transpoters of Khag.
During the event, some issues were raised by the participants.The chairing officer assured them that their genuine issues will be taken up with the higher ups for their early redressal.

Meanwhile at Police Station Beerwah Thana Diwas” event was observed which was chaired by SHO Police Station Beerwah Insp.Firdous Ahmed. During the meeting participants highlighted various issues of public importance, and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority. The issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.

The participants appreciated the gesture of Budgam Police and assured cooperation in eradication of social evils from the area.
