Budgam police arrests 03 persons and seized 03 tippers for illegal excavation, transportation of minerals

BUDGAM: 19th April 2022:

Budgam Police arrested three persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals, 03 tippers seized.

During naka checking at Wadwan, police party of police post Soibugh seized 03 tippers loaded with minerals and arrested 03 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of soil and seized the tippers on spot.The arrested persons have been identified as:- Bilal Ahmad Chopan son of Ali Mohammad chopan, Ulfat Ahmad Malik son of Bashir Ahmad Khan residents of soibugh & Mehraj din son of Noor Mohammad Sofi resident of Haji Bagh.
Registration numbers of Seized tippers are JK01F 9165, JK21B 0586, JK02BJ 5912

In this regard, Case FIR number 111/2022, under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
