Budgam police arrests 01 person and seized 01 JCB for illegal excavation of minerals

BUDGAM: 20 May 2022: Budgam Police arrested 01 person involved in illegal excavation of minerals and 01JCB seized.

Today Police Station Beerwah acting against illegal excavation and transportation of minerals, carried out a raid at Hardumalpora Beerwah and arrested 01 person involved in illegal extraction and transportation of Soil, 01 JCB was also seized from the spot.
The accused driver has been identified as:-
1.Balvinder Singh son of Kulwant Singh resident of Jungal Bawani Gurdaspur Punjab, The seized JCB was found to be without registration number plate.

In this regard, Case FIR number 58/2022, under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation set into motion.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
