Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 13 bovine animals rescued

  Kathua  : Tightening the noose of bovine smugglers in Kathua, a team of P/S Lakhanpur (Kathua) rescued 13 which were found loaded in Truck .Police team *led by Insp. Sanjeev Chib SHO P/S Lakanpur*  while on Truck terminal toll Plaza Lakanpur  intercepted one Truck bearing Registration No. UP11BT- 1547 coming from Punjab  and stopped for checking. During checking of the vehicle, 13 bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle without legal permission. Driver of the vehicle was arrested by the Police team.In Police action an instant case has been registered at P/S Lakhanpur Vide FIR No. 99/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act  against driver namely Asif S/o Yaqoob R/o Sharanpur UP and the said bovines rescued from the clutches of bovine smuggling menace. Further investigation of the case is going on.
