Ardent supporter of Kashmir resolution Krishna Dev Sethi passes away

An ardent supporter of Kashmir resolution and the last surviving member of the constituent assembly of Jammu and Kashmir, Krishna Dev Sethi passed away in Jammu on Thursday morning.

Family sources told the news agency KNS that Krishna Dev Sethi passed away at his residence in Jammu at around 4 am in the morning.

With his death, an era of ideological politics of Jammu and Kashmir came to an end.

Sethi was an ardent supporter of the resolution of Kashmir and the last surviving member of the constituent assembly of Jammu and Kashmir.

“He proved by his words and deeds how sectarian harmony, tolerance, and non-class politics can be promoted.  There were many occasions when he could get anything for himself but no persuasion, greed or coercion could divert him from his position,”
