AKTTA completes first ever fame fest in Kargil organised with the support of JK Tourism Department.

Kargil:To showcase Kargil and its tourism potential 50 major travel trade business houses and journalists from all over the country were invited to Kargil during a three day event starting from 20th July to 23rd July.

The delegation included Sudhir Patil, President of Maharashtra Travel Agents Association, Mushtaq Chaya, Chairman JK Hotelier’s Club, Tsetan Angchuk, President of the apex tourism body of Ladakh region, ALTOA, renowned social worker and Hotelier of Ladakh, Tashi Mutup Kau, Akram khan Sia, Chairman  of TTIG, Nasir Shah , Chairman PILTOF, Manzoor Pakhtoon Chairman JKTA along with heads of 12 major Travel Trade bodies of Jammu and Kashmir.

On the 20th the delegation covered Drass including ManMan Top, on the 21st the delegation went to Suru Valley including Kartsey Khar Chamba, Panikhar up untill Parkachik and on the 22nd they covered the Aryan Valley.

The delegation were impressed by the tourism potential of Kargil and Mr Sudhir Patil said after the fame fest that Kargil is definitely a destination in the making and promised his associations full support in the future.

On the 21st evening there was an interaction meeting at Hotel The Kargil in which Chairman LC Haji Anayat Ali and CEC LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan were present. Two books on Kargil, one by INTACH coordinator Kacho Mumtaz and one by Mohd Hamza of SEWAK were also released.

On the 22nd evening a Dinner was hosted by the tourism department at Dist. Police line in honor of the visiting delegates where CEC Kargil Feroze Ahmad Khan was the Chief Guest and Executive Councillor Tourism, Puntsok Tashi was the guest of Honor.

The first ever coffee table book on Kargil by Sarhad NGO and its patron Sanjay Nahar was also released at the event.

On this occasion Akram Khan Chairman of TTIG announced three day Kargil Fam Fest at Thailand and also announced to bring some of the best Travel Agents on Fem Fest to Kargil.

Mushtaq Chaya, Chairman JK Hotelier’s Club alos announced this years Hall of Fame Award to Ashraf Ali President AKTTA for his outstanding contribution towards promotion of tourism in Kargil in such a short period.

On behalf of AKTTA renowned Hotelier and Councillor Choskore, Nasir Hussain Munshi thanked the visiting delegates for devoting their precious time in exploring Kargil. He also thanked Chairman LC Haji Anayat Ali, CEC LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Feroze Ahmad Khan, Tourism executive Puntsok Tashi, DC Kargil Baseer Ul Haq Choudhry, AD tourism Aga Tawha and  Rasool Lal. He also thanked President Taxi Union Kargil Shamim Hussain Mayur and their executives for their exceptional support and professionalism in making this fame fest a grand success.
