Agriculture Department orders transfers, postings of 23 Officers
Several officers assigned additional charges and new responsibilities
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a major reshuffle in the Agriculture Production Department, transferring and posting a number of officers with immediate effect in the interest of administration.The orders were issued through Government Order No. 40S-JK(APD) of 2026, dated September 7, 2026, by the Agriculture Production Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar.
Among the key orders, S. Singh has been assigned the charge of Agronomist, Vegetable Improvement Scheme, Jammu, against an available vacancy.Om Singh has been assigned the charge of Agriculture Information Officer, Jammu. He will join the new place of posting on or after September 30, 2026, following the retirement of the present incumbent. Till then, he will report to the Director Agriculture, Jammu, who will draw his salary against an available equivalent post.
Sham Kumar Gupta has been assigned the charge of Training Officer (F), FTC, Jammu, while Bhabishan Singh has been posted to the J&K Agro Industries Corporation Limited on deputation basis in place of Mr Sham Kumar Gupta.Seed Jasrotia has been recalled from the J&K Agro Industries Corporation Limited and posted as Assistant Seed Certification Officer (ASCO), Doda, against an available vacancy.
The Government has also ordered several postings and transfers involving officers holding the posts of Senior Agriculture Technologist (SMS-III), Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officers (SDAO), Soil Conservation Assistants and other field-level assignments across Jammu and Kashmir.
Among the officers affected are Darshan Kumar, Kailash Sharma, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Man Singh-I, Parshotam Gupta, Bhupinderpal Singh, Deep Kumar, Ravi Sharma, Satpal Singh Lobana, Yash Paul Gupta, Vinod Kumar Khajuria, Davinder Singh, Mohan Singh Slathia, Mohinder Singh, Man Mohan Singh-I, Narinder Kumar, Ms Durishehwar Khan and Dr Masrat Maqbool, who have been assigned various new responsibilities and postings.
The orders cover postings in Udhampur, Hiranagar-Dayalachak, Jammu, Ramban, Chadoora, Basholi, Keller, Shopian, Budgam, Khansahib, Poonch, Anantnag and Ganderbal, among other locations.The Government has further ordered that Harvinder Singh, SMS-II, Poonch, shall also hold the charge of District Agriculture Officer (Extension), Poonch, in addition to his own duties.
It has also been directed that all the officers concerned shall be deemed to have been relieved from their respective places of posting to enable them to join their new assignments.The reshuffle is aimed at streamlining administrative functioning and ensuring effective deployment of officers across various wings and field formations of the Agriculture Production Department.
