Man detained at Srinagar airport for travelling on fake air ticket
A man was detained at Srinagar International Airport on Friday after authorities discovered he was travelling on a fake air ticket, officials said.The incident occurred early in the morning at the airport drop gate, where the individual was intercepted while attempting to travel from Srinagar to Delhi. Verification revealed that the ticket was forged.During questioning, the passenger admitted that the ticket was fake. He was taken into custody along with his mobile phone. Additionally, a vehicle (Tata Sumo) bearing registration number JK-04A-9887, along with his associates, was seized.The detained individual and the recovered items were handed over to Police Post Humhama for further investigation.Authorities have initiated legal proceedings to trace the source of the fake ticket and identify any accomplices involved in the matter.
