India Shows Resolve in Operation Sindoor: DGMO & Air Marshal Address Nation
New Delhi, May 11 : In a solemn and assertive press conference, India’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, paid tribute to the five armed forces personnel and civilians who lost their lives during Operation Sindoor. Calling them “fallen colleagues and brothers,” he stated, “Our hearts go out to the bereaved families… Their sacrifices shall always be remembered.”
Emphasizing India’s commitment to peace while maintaining readiness for any challenge, Lt Gen Ghai said, “We have thus far exercised immense restraint and our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory. However, any threat to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and safety of our citizens will be met with decisive force.”
Air Marshal A.K. Bharti followed with a detailed presentation that showcased video evidence of India’s precision air operations. The visuals revealed targeted strikes on key Pakistani military assets, including Pasrur, Chunian, and Arifwala Air Defence Radars, as well as the airfields of Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Chaklala (Nur Khan), Sukkur, Bholari, and Jacobabad. The footage highlighted the scale, accuracy, and strategic depth of the Indian Air Force’s campaign.
Lt Gen Ghai reiterated that India’s posture remains grounded in strategy, not impulse. “We have been compelled to be in this situation… The armed forces of India are always prepared to face any eventuality… I am not concerned about what Pakistan will do; I am only concerned about what we will do. We have a roadmap and a plan, and we will follow it diligently,” he asserted.
Operation Sindoor marks a significant moment in India’s defense narrative, sending a strong message of resolve, retaliation, and readiness.
