Budgam police arrests 03 persons and seized 03 tippers for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals

MAY 20: Police Station Budgam had established various checkpoints in the area. During late night naka checking, police parties intercepted 03 tippers loaded with clay Near FCI Chandpora, Patlibagh & Chandpora Crossing respectively. All the three accused drivers were arrested and 03 tippers also seized on the spot for illegal transportation of clay. The arrested drivers have been identified as:
01.Younis Ahmad Qazi son of Ghulam Ahmad Qazi resident of Watriwani.
02. Showkat Ahmad Baba son of Ghulam Hassan Baba resident of Khadipora.
03.Gulzar Ahmad Beigh son of Abdul Razzak Beigh resident of Khadipora.
Registration numbers of Seized tippers are JK04 7552,. JK01P 3573 and JK01AG 7743

In this regard, Case FIR numbers 160/2022, 161/2022 & 162/2022 have been registered at Police Station Budgam under relevant sections of law and investigation taken up.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
