IUST organises workshop on ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development’ for college Principals

Awantipora: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Awantipora area of South Kashmir on Monday organized a workshop, titled as ‘Capacity Building workshop for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’, in the varsity.
On the occasion, the Principals of all the degree colleges of Kashmir valley were apprised about the benefits of introducing entrepreneurship programmes in the colleges.
During the program, the experts discussed with the participating Principals on various issues, related to the enhancing of entrepreneurship programmes in the collages.
The experts have said that “by introducing entrepreneurship programs in colleges, our children can become self-sufficient pertaining to employment, after they complete the academic session.”
Speaking on the occasion, through virtual mode, Director Colleges Kashmir, Yasmeen Ashai has endorsed the innovation & entrepreneurship in colleges, and believed that maximum employment opportunities can be created through it.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Ramshoo has said that the purpose of conducting this workshop for the Principals of all colleges of the valley is to provide them accurate information about the benefits of entrepreneurship and skill development programmes.
He said that “with the help of these programmes, college students can be made skilled, following which they can find employment opportunities.”
