Police foils suicide attempt of minor boy in Ganderbal

Police in Ganderbal prevented a boy from committing suicide in river Jehlum near Kharbagh district Ganderbal.Today at about 1500hrs, Police party from PP Shadipora led by In-charge PP Shadipora SI Gulzar Ahmad during routine patrolling in the area found a boy attempting to jump into the river Jehlum near Kharbagh. After noticing his movement as doubtful, the police party rushed towards him and foiled his suicidal attempt.

The rescued minor boy is resident of Nainara Sumbal Bandipora and was handed over to his parents after proper counselling.General public of Ganderbal applauded this action of Police and parents expressed their gratitude to the Police for swift response which saved a precious life.
