4 attacks in 9 days: Black Bears on prowl in Tral villages

Pulwama, 25 Sep: The black bears have wreaked havoc in Tral area of South Kashmir as four attacks have been reported in nine days at some villages of this sub district.
As per the details available at SDH Tral, four persons including a woman were injured in seperate bear attacks at Laribal, Gong, Batagund & Chudibugh villages of Tral, since September, 16.
The victims include: Ghulam Ahmad Dar, Gh Nabi Najar, Parveena Akhter, & Bashir Ahmad Teli, from Laribal Tral, Batagund Tral, Gong Tral & Chudibugh Tral, respectively.
Meanwhile, a wildlife official talking to Arising State has said that they are on job to capture the wild bears from residential areas.
He said that they have installed around five cages so far in several areas of Tral range, and are trying their best to capture the bears.
