03 militants 01 JKP Cop killed in an Encounter in Kreeri Baramula : IGP Police

Srinagar, May 25 : 3 millitants have been killed in an ongoing gun battle between security forces and militants at Najibhat in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramula District.

Police claims to have killed 3 Pakistani militants in the chance encounter at Najibhat in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramula District. One JKP personnel was also killed in the encounter, police said.
Police also claimed to have recovered incriminating materials including arms and ammunition from the site.

Earlier, a fierce Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Najibhat area of Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.A joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kreeri. As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight. Earlier reports also confirmed two to three millitants trapped.
