Two Killed, Three Injured In Pre-dawn Road Accident In Rajouri

Jammu, Dec 3 : Two people lost their lives and three others sustained injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in collided with a parapet near Chingus in Rajouri district during the pre-dawn hours on Wednesday.

Officials told that a Swift car (JK12D 7568) was on its way from Jammu towards Rajouri when it rammed into a parapet near Chingus at around 4:30 AM. The impact of the collision proved fatal for two passengers while three others sustained injuries, they said.

All the injured were immediately shifted to GMC Rajouri for further treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Naik Singh (53) son of Puran Singh resident of Waripattan and Mohd Yaqoob(45) son of Mohd Fazal resident of Saila Surankote.

The injured have been identified as Mohd Farooq son of Mohd Fazal resident of Saila Surankote, Driver Mohd Sageer son of Mohd Haneef resident of Digwar Poonch and Mohd Mushtaq son of Fazal Hussain resident of Kakora Manjakote.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident, they added.
