Anantnag: The number of patients diagnosed with Hepatitis A in Turka Tachloo Village, in south Kashmir’s Anantnag District, has reached seven. This, in turn, has prompted the health department to launch a massive screening of the village.
According to a health official, almost seven teenage kids so far have been tested positive for hepatitis A.
The official sources have confirmed that one minor girl, who had been admitted to the JVC hospital in Srinagar, has died due to the outbreak, while over a dozen have tested positive for the infection as a result of the outbreak.
