Protectee persons should not go anywhere without PSOs: IGP Kashmir

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar today asked all the protected persons not to go anywhere without their Personal Security Officers (PSOs).

IGP Kashmir in a Tweet said : “No #protectee should go anywhere without PSOs. Visits are allowed only after ground assessment of local #threat is done. Request is to all protectees not to #violate SOPs and risk their lives unnecessarily.”

J&K Police has issued thie fresh advisory following the killing of a Bjp leader and Chairman Muncipal Committee Tral Rakesh Pandita.

Police sources said Pandit died on the spot. He had visited Tral without his security detail.

“Despite provided 02 PSOs & secured hotel accommodation in Srinagar, the said councillor went to Tral without PSOs. Area cordoned off & search is going on. @JmuKmrPolice,” Kashmir Police tweeted.
