People delighted over offering prayers on Shab-e-Qadr in Jama Masjid: Anjuman Auqaf
Srinagar, Apr 18 : The blessed night of the Shab-e-Qadr was observed with great devotion and fervour throughout Jammu & Kashmir and in Jama Masjid Srinagar, where Isha and Taraweeh prayers were held after three years.
In a statement, Anujman Auqaf said people from across the Valley came to the grand mosque in large numbers and sought forgiveness from the Almighty Allah on this Night of Power.
It said that the people expressed happiness and joy over offering prayers after a long time on the occasion Shab Qadr while on the other hand.
It said people also expressed disappointment over house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq for the last more than 4 years.
Anjuman expressed hope that authorities will ensure his unconditional release on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
