Officer Transferred from J&K to Ladakh on Deputation Basis
Srinagar, July 9, 2025: In a significant administrative move, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order,a copy of which lies with Arising State , transferring Mr. Mohammad Usman Khan, JKAS, to the Union Territory of Ladakh on deputation. The transfer, outlined in Government Order No. 871-JK(GAD) of 2025, was announced by the General Administration Department (GAD) today.
Mr. Khan, who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, J&K, has been relieved with immediate effect and directed to report to the General Administration Department of Ladakh for further posting. His deputation will be for a period of two years or until recalled, as per the order.
The government has clarified that Mr. Khan’s lien and promotion prospects will remain with the General Administration Department, J&K. Additionally, he will be eligible to avail incentives that may be introduced by the Union Territory of Ladakh in due course.
